Another great day down on the farm for the Nethercotters! 💚

Year 5 Enrichment Week continued with creating Story Sticks this afternoon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️They look wonderful! The children learnt all about how sticks were used in the past to remind people about what they had seen on their travels so they could tell people all about it. The children chose their sticks and sanded them down before painting and decorating them. We will make a display of all 59 of them after Easter! Thank you to local artists Annie and Amanda for facilitating this and also to Mrs Dawes and Millie for helping. 🎨🖌️

Year 5 Enrichment Week has continued with a commando morning organised and led by Sergeant Keach and Sergeant Pullen! The children fully emmersed themselves in the challenge through the woods, working together to defend the school from enemy attack! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The children in Foundation practised their geography skills this afternoon by following a map which led to some Easter eggs! 🪺 We learnt about the Birds Eye view, the importance of 'the key' and which directions we needed to take. They will be creating their own maps by drawing the route that they followed! Fingers crossed the Easter bunny turns our paper eggs into real chocolate eggs!! 🤞🏼 🐰

Foundation Stage Forest School Week 5. After practising safe entry to the fire pit area for session 6 with a fire which is next week, the children took part in a scavenger hunt. Then things really hotted up with the Lava Game!! There was some fantastic balancing, well done Mrs Kemp! Then Mrs Dawes and Mrs Maiden tested the Buddy Bench out and guess what? It works!!

Amelia’s St Luke’s kit and write up will be in the Herald on Saturday! What a superstar and her Shark classmates who joined her! Grab a copy! ⭐️🏉

A celebration event held today at Plymouth University for our research project culmination ‘Are We Included?’ group of year 4/5 children after 6 weeks of collaboration! We are so proud of you and thank you for your co-operation with this project - the first with primary schools in the city! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
